Transforming the auto industry one innovation at a time while empowering the consumer with smart financial options

Tuesday, 29 June 2021 by Editor

The world has changed a lot in the last 15 months. New ways of doing things have emerged, the old order is gone, and innovation and agility seem to be the key driving forces that will shape how we do things and adapt to this new world.

As has been expected and been the case, the pandemic has forced many industries and companies to reevaluate their business models, and carve out strategic points of survival in order to emerge victorious from the economic ruins that have been brought by the virus. The automotive industry has not been immune to these sweeping changes.

According to the online insurance comparison site, Bettercompare (2021), of the 10 million vehicles that frequent South Africa’s roads, only 2.5 million are insured. It is said that about three cars that drive next to you are most likely not insured.

With the pandemic having taken a toll on people’s purses, particularly in the form of retrenchment and salary cuts, we’re aware that some tasks and duties may be relegated to the back end even though they are important.

A car is a necessity, but the hardships of life may force one to either cancel or suspend their insurance as they work through some of the challenges that we face everyday.

So you may ask yourself anxiously, what will happen if your car gets knocked/bumped while you’re on the road with no insurance or solid contingency plan to deal with the crisis?

Here, at Ezy Panel Beaters, we have an excellent team that is perfectly suited to take care of all your panel beating needs. In no time, your car will be back in good shape and ready to be driven. Check out the gallery section on the site to review some of the previous works by Ezy ; www.ezypanelbeaters.co.za/gallery/

To accommodate you, we have put in place a flexible payment structure that takes into consideration affordability and the amount of damage to a vehicle.

With us, you get to pay a deposit of 50% while we work on repairing your ride. We give you the option of settling the outstanding balance when you come to collect the vehicle. This will give you ample time and a chance to source the funds to pay for the work while progress is also taking place. We understand it can be a difficult task in most cases to have all the amount quoted at hand. The payment flexibility therefore works best for most clients.

We also have another fantastic offering where you get to refer someone and upon a successful referral, you’ll receive 5% of the quote back. This deal can even be more beneficial to you if you know people with a lot of cars or you’re employed at a company with a fleet of cars. Once you refer them to Ezy and it so happens that every month, an average, of 3 cars are serviced by us, with the company paying about R25 000, you stand a chance to make an easy R1250. That amounts to R15000 annually. In this tough economic climate, such extra cash definitely goes a long way in making things better.

Thirdly, we also provide you with assistance in identifying reliable aftermarket outlets for reasonably priced motor parts.

These are some of the innovative ways in which we’re trying to make the world a better place because we understand that times are tough. We’re committed to always ensuring that your driving experience is second to none.

Our range of innovative services also includes a self quoting system on the website, one of the first in the industry to help you get a quick estimate of what it can cost to fix your damage. This is also designed to reduce quote waiting time for all clients. The other option is to DM your pictures to any of Ezy’s social pages and you will receive assistance with your estimated quote. This eliminates the process of physically driving in to a place to get a quote, as is the norm with others out there. We save you valuable time and money so that you can plan, budget and bring your car only when ready to fix.

Its so ezy to access Ezy. Hit us up on any of these platforms (Fb; Ezy Panelbeaters, Twitter:@EPanelbeaters, IG; ezy_panelbeaters, LinkedIn: Ezy Panelbeaters & the web; www,ezypanelbeaters.co.za/contact-us. We’re always on standby, ready to assist you

DEALING WITH REAR-END DAMAGE

Friday, 07 August 2015 by Ezyp

In the hustle and bustle of modern city life, everything happens quickly. We find ourselves stuck in traffic jams on our way to work and back, and in the midst of some of that busyness (hooters, taxis playing loud music, bumper-to-bumper traffic etc.) your car may get hit behind by someone who didn’t observe a safe following distance. These things happen.

Car collisions, no matter how minor, can be very stressful. Even if you have insurance, the inconvenience of being immobile for a couple of days and the anxiety that comes with searching for a reliable panel beater who’ll bring your car back to good condition is real. Fortunately, at Ezy Panel Beaters, we have a team of experts who specialise in auto body repair.

From the smallest dents to the biggest damage, we will be able to fix your car efficiently and put a smile back in your face.

As soon as a car with rear end damage arrives at our workshop, the first thing we do is to write an estimate which will give us a clear indication of the damage (both seen and unseen) as well as which parts will need to be replaced or repaired. After that the estimate is given to the insurance company or the customer for a stamp of approval. Essentially, this is authorization for the car to be repaired in line with the stipulated costs.

The next step in the process is to get all the needed parts for the job. Depending on the vehicle, we often get either major damage which usually includes the replacement of parts and we also get minor damage.

Typically, the repair process involved in fixing a motor vehicle starts off with a structural repair, followed by body repair and painting. The last part is to reassemble and put the final touch (detailing). Let’s quickly go through each and everyone of these in more detail.

Structural repair

Structural repair is the intricate aspect of repairing a car and it comprises welding, cutting and chassis straightening. It’s crucial that chassis straightening be done correctly as a first priority since it holds the structural integrity of the whole vehicle. Great care and caution is taken when measurements are done in order to replicate the manufacturer’s design and framework, and get the car back to its pre-accident shape.

Body repair

Visual appeal is of the essence. It is the same reason you decided to settle for the colour red or blue when you bought your car. Repairing the body of the vehicle is a process that entails the replacement of parts such as window glass, frames and windshields.

Refinishing and painting

Refinishing is all about working on the surface of the body so as to make it ready for spray painting. Normally, spray guns are the tools that the technicians utilize in applying primer, base coat and clear-coat to the vehicle.

There are a lot of factors that are taken into consideration during the refinishing process, key among them being corrosion. It’s a vital aspect of refinishing to protect the vehicle from developing rust in the fixed spot or areas. It’s a highly technical job and it requires the expertise of a well-trained technician to get it right.

When refinishing is done, the painting begins. Here, we strictly adhere to the car manufacturer’s instructions in relation to the dry time for the paint (it normally varies from car to car). We go through at least three coats in order to cover the surface.

Reassembly

The second last step in the project of fixing a rear end damaged vehicle is reassembly. This is the state of putting all the pieces together like a puzzle. For reassembly to happen in a proper way, the very basics must be observed. The process of reassembly works almost backwards – we begin with the end in mind.

When a car first comes into the workshop, the technicians strategically dismantle the pieces that are to be worked on, and they also make space for other activities in the repair process. Here, they note of every part and its shape, role and task in the proper function of the vehicle. This carefully-observed data comes in handy in the reassembly process at the end.

Detailing

At this point, the job is almost done. We are applying the final touch and making sure that your car looks as new as it first did on the day you drove it out of the dealership. Detailing is a term that explains the procedure of wrapping up the project by polishing the exterior and interior. It’s cleaning of the surface and ensuring that your car is well protected from UV rays and other natural elements. The paint is accentuated by some smooth detailing.

Ultimately we strive to give you peace of mind, knowing that the auto body repair process on your car will be a seamless experience. The results speak for themselves. We aim to restore and reinforce a happy driving experience for all of our customers. Should you find yourself having to deal with rear end damage on your vehicle, we will be more than happy to assist you with the repair process
